On  May 9th President Obama announced his intent to appoint the following individuals to key Administration posts to the Committee for People with Intellectual Disabilities. The committee, which has been in place since President Lyndon Johnson established it in 1966, ensures that over 7 million Americans of all ages are properly represented when consulting the President and Secretary of Health and Human Services. The committee and promotes initiatives that support independence and lifelong inclusion for individuals with intellectual disabilities in their respective communities.
